|Welcome to the Student
Side of ESL PartyLand!
Many times students have asked me, "What's the best way to learn English?" There is not one answer to this question, but I often say, "Practice! Practice! Practice!" The more you speak English, the easier it becomes. The more you read in English and listen to English, the easier it gets.
The pages at Karin's ESL PartyLand are designed to help you improve your English. (And, yes, it's all free.)
What can you do here? LOTS! Start with the Learning Pages on the right, or take the Site Tour below to find out more about PartyLand.
Take a quiz at the Quiz Center. At present, there are over 75 interactive quizzes for you to choose from, and links that direct you to hundreds of others. (Many thanks here to Martin Holmes and the Hot Potatoes team at the University of Victoria. Without you, this page wouldn't exist.)
Visit our Learning Pages. They're designed to give you topic-based English language practice.
Join in one of PartyLand's 15+ Discussion Forums for ESL students and teachers. Share your ideas on a variety of topics.
Visit PartyLand's Student E-mail Exchange and find an e-mail pen pal to write to in English. It's a great way to use your English skills and make new friends at the same time.
Use the extensive Links Pages at PartyLand as a starting point for some ESL surfing fun.

You can literally spend hundreds of hours here learning English! Remember, these pages are always under construction. We'll soon be adding a writing center, listening quizzes, and more topics pages. Stop back frequently to get more English practice and to see what's new.
