Using the phrase "right now"
Someone asked about this phrase on the ESL Partyland live chat the other day, so I thought I would explain it a bit...
Basically, people use the phrase "right now" to mean immediately. It sometimes creates a sense of urgency. For example:
Tom: I am going to the bank.
Jane: When?
Tom: Right now, because they close in 15 minutes.
Child's Mom: Get upstairs and clean your dirty room, right now!
Hope this helps.
