Interchange/New Interchange

This is the second edition of this now-famous book. The is a good series for beginner to intermediate students. Each book has 15 units. You get vocabulary, expressions, grammar, and practice in every unit. The books also have really nice photos and illustrations. In addition to the student book for each level, you can also get a workbook, cassettes, and the teachers' guide. The teachers' guide includes tapescripts, answer keys, and tests.

This one is for beginners. Some of the topics are: food, clothing, jobs, transportation, and travel.

The next step is to New Interchange 3. This book is designed for intermediate students. (Really, I've heard that the level 3 book of New Interchange is much better than the original Interchange 3, so if you were disappointed with that one, check this one out.)
